"Talk about a revolution. Well, we all wanna change the world."
I'm baaaaaaack. Yes, I know. I have horribly neglected my blog. I fail at life, and I apologize. Do you forgive me? Ha. I don't care.
ANYWHO! I'm going through an obsessive Beatles phase. My brain is just an endless pile of Beatles songs that are constantly stuck in my head. It's wonderful, and terrifying. I'm also reading 1984 by George Orwell, for the most amazing class ever (English). So, in short, my brain is hoplessly full of politics, sex, rebellion, and music. Hey! It's teenage life! [Props to Jake.] But enough useless bullcrap about my life...
The beauty of being a teenager is that we are expected to act with reckless abandon. We are expected to be stupid, and passionate, and -often times- powerful. We're expected to freak our parents out, and fall in love. Parents, Teachers, ADULTS in general look at us with this glorified view of free spirits living out their legendary glory days. However, when I look at the young people in my life, I see so much pain mixed in with their pleasure. I find that the people who allow themselves to feel so recklessly, and so intensely, lose complete control. They end up doing things that even they do not understand, for reasons that are stupid and pointless. They drink six packs of beer and carve themselves up. They push everyone away and claim it's just their personality. They leave the people that truly love them for the sake of being popular.Why? Because they acted on those prophetic and passionate teenage emotions, and didn't think twice; Because it all got to be too much and no one understood or cared enough to listen; Because they didn't have a mom, or a dad, or a bestfriend to remind them that they would be okay. I guess what I mean by all of this is to do the unexpected. Make a real statement. Trust me, wearing weird clothes and cutting yourself doesn't make you special, it just makes you what everyone expects. Be the person that is stronger than that, better than that, and never let other people drag you down with their self-righteous, joy-killing, "self expression." Lift yourself up, and you'll lift up the people around you without even meaning to. Show your parents, and your bullies, and your friends, that you really are better than them. Not by bitching them out, but by being smarter, more courageous, and more honest than you were ever expected to be. You will never be rewarded for doing what is expected of you.

I miss the dead musicians.
Hello, blog. I've missed you. I feel like I haven't blogged in forever, but that I could just be because I had gotten in the habit of blogging everyday. I'm currently listening to a mix of Nirvana, The Beatles, and Metallica. You'd think that mix wouldn't work, but it is the perfect playlist for me. If I add a little 80's alt rock, and some Panic! at the Disco it will be my personality in music form. Have I mentioned that I miss Amy Winehouse? Every time I sing her music, it makes me miss her, which makes me think of Kurt Cobain, which makes think of John Lennon. Then I get totally depressed. I'm also going through a Barbra Streisand phase. I love her.
Enough about music...
1.) Well, here we are. We've been going out over month, and we've never even had a real fight. I'm glad you enjoyed my obnoxiously long letter. I also don't like it when you're angry... Mostly because I know that your just like me in the sense that you completely lose control of yourself when you get in a mood like that. So, in short, be happy because I love you. (:
2.) Happy Birffday. (: It was really great to see you. You're one of those people who I know I'll be friends with forever. I can just tell. Never forget to shake your nola. (;
3.) YOU ACTUALLY CAME OVER.
... i missed you. a lot. let's leave it at that.
ANYWHO! I have to go do homework and such. If you're bothering to read this, I probably love you, and if you I tell you I love you, then never forget it, because I mean it with all my heart.
